Fields of Application for Borosilicate Wafer
Known under trade names such as Borcam, Borosil, or Duran, borosilicate glass wafers are primarily used in:
Interiors and fittings exposed to high temperatures, including microwaves, ovens, and fireplaces; chemical industry; protective panels and photovoltaics; precision engineering and optics; biotechnology; and electronics.
Borosilicate is a specialized glass wafer used in products such as optical filters, bone cements, implants, mirror surfaces for telescopes, and semiconductors.
The automotive sector also employs borosilicate wafers in pressure sensors.
