Copper Zinc (Cu-Zn) Alloy Nanopowder/Nanoparticles
Size: 35–95 nm, Cu:Zn = 6:4
Technical Properties:
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Alloy Ratio (Cu–Zn) | 60–40 |
| Average Particle Size (nm) | 35–95 |
Properties, Storage and Cautions:
Cu-Zn alloy nanoparticles are highly reactive, so they must be handled with care. Rapid movements and vibrations should be avoided. The powder should be kept away from sunlight, heat, moisture, and physical impacts. Since coagulation is a significant issue, the powder should be sealed under vacuum and stored in cool, dry conditions. Air exposure should be avoided.
Applications:
Cu-Zn alloy (brass) is well known for its gold-like appearance and malleable nature. It is commonly used in locks, gears, valves, plumbing components, musical instruments, and decorative structures.
