Description
Bakelite is produced from thermosetting phenol-formaldehyde and was the first composite plastic made from multiple composite materials. Its excellent electrical dissipation and heat-resistance properties make it suitable for various industrial applications, including electronics, electricity meters, kitchen appliances, and aerospace components.
Bakelite can be easily and quickly molded, which is a significant advantage for producing bulky items. As a thermosetting compound, it retains its shape and does not deform during molding, even when exposed to heat or solvents.
Due to its exceptional resistance to heat, electricity, and chemicals, Bakelite is also ideal for applications in the electrical and automotive industries. It is commonly used in the production of electrical devices such as lamp sockets, electronic tubes, various electrical components, and insulating materials.
