Ultralight Graphene Aerogel, Diameter: 1.2 ± 0.1 cm, Height: 1.2 ± 0.1 cm
Graphene aerogels are highly elastic materials capable of returning to their original shape even after compression. Their extremely low density makes them exceptionally absorbent—able to absorb more than 850 times their own weight. This feature makes graphene aerogels valuable for environmental cleanup applications, such as oil spill removal, where they can simply be collected after absorption.
Graphene aerogels also hold significant potential in energy storage and energy transfer applications, enabling the development of lighter, higher-energy-density batteries. Research into these applications is rapidly progressing.
