Carbon nanotube fibers provide moderate to high strength while maintaining good electrical conductivity and very low density. These characteristics allow them to be effectively incorporated into fabrics and composite materials. They are suitable for use as stand-alone or embedded sensors due to their reliable electrical performance.
In addition, their high strength, stiffness, and excellent thermal and electrical conductivity make them ideal for functional reinforcement in composite materials. They are also applied in active heating and cooling systems, electrical conductivity and EMI-shielding mechanisms such as CNT/epoxy composites, and in atmospheric anti-threat detection systems for UAVs.
