Carbon nanotube fibers offer moderate to high strength while maintaining excellent electrical conductivity and extremely low density. These characteristics allow them to be effectively integrated into fabrics and composite structures. Their applications include use as stand-alone or embedded sensors, thanks to their reliable electrical performance.
Additionally, their high strength, stiffness, and superior thermal and electrical conductivity make them suitable as functional reinforcements in composite materials. They are also utilized in active heating and cooling systems, electrical conductivity and EMI-shielding configurations such as CNT/epoxy composites, and atmospheric anti-threat detection systems in UAVs.
