Quartz Wafer
(AT-Cut), Size: 4”, 2-Side Polished, Thickness: 500 ± 25 μm
Technical Properties:
Description
Quartz wafers offer high working temperature, excellent corrosion resistance, high thermal conductivity, and low dielectric loss, making them ideal for semiconductor, photomask, microwave filter, and optical lens applications.
Quartz is a monocrystalline material available in various crystal orientations, allowing different cut versions. In manufacturing, high-quality quartz particles are placed at the bottom of a vessel containing NaOH. Crystallization begins at around 400°C under 1000–1500 bar pressure, gradually forming monocrystals over several days. These monocrystals are then sliced into wafers and polished to produce high-quality quartz wafers, including Quartz 4” (AT-Cut).
Quartz 4” (X-Cut) wafers exhibit high thermal conductivity, strong corrosion resistance, high working temperature tolerance, and excellent optical transmittance. These characteristics make Quartz Wafer suitable for producing optical lenses, photomasks, microwave filters, semiconductors, and optical fiber applications.
