Overview:
7075 aluminum alloy (AA7075) is an aluminum-zinc alloy known for its excellent mechanical properties. It offers high strength, toughness, good ductility, and notable fatigue resistance.
Although it is more prone to embrittlement than many other aluminum alloys due to micro-segregation, it has significantly better corrosion resistance than the 2000 series alloys. The typical composition of 7075 aluminum alloy includes approximately 5.6–6.1% zinc, 2.1–2.5% magnesium, 1.2–1.6% copper, and less than 0.5% of silicon, iron, manganese, titanium, chromium, and other metals.

Applications:
Al 7075 alloy powder is ideal for applications requiring a high strength-to-weight ratio and excellent fatigue resistance. Common uses include aerospace components such as aircraft wings and fuselages. While it provides high strength, it has lower corrosion resistance compared to other aluminum alloys and offers limited machinability and weldability.
