Applications:
Holmium oxide is used in glass manufacturing. It serves as a colorant in glass and cubic zirconia. When added to glass, it produces sharp optical absorption peaks in the spectral range of 200–900 nm. It is used as a calibration standard for optical spectrophotometers. Additionally, it finds applications as a catalyst and as a laser material.
