Applications:
Dysprosium oxide nanoparticles exhibit excellent magnetic and optical properties. These are utilized in magneto-optical recording materials and luminescent applications. They serve as neutron absorbers and are used in measuring neutron energy spectra and in nuclear reaction control rods. Dysprosium oxide is also employed as a glass material in laser-based and optical devices with a Faraday rotation effect.
