Storage Condition:
Boron carbide nanoparticles should be sealed in vacuum and stored in a cool, dry room. They should not be exposed to air and must be protected from stress.
Applications:
Boron carbide nanoparticles are among the most stable and hard materials. They do not react with acid or alkali solutions. They are used as abrasives in polishing and lapping applications, and also as loose abrasives in cutting applications such as water jet cutting. Boron carbide has the ability to absorb neutrons without forming long-lived radiation. It is used in nuclear applications for shielding, as well as in control rods and shutdown pellets.
